Over the last couple of years we have listened to what our schools are saying and have remodelled our 5 day camp to a 4 day version. This allows us to provide the same activities at a reduced cost, making camps more affordable and accessible. We can design an itinerary for you to suit any budget or requests – Just contact us and ask! The 5 day version is always available if you wish.

Optional Activities available: See our additional activities page. There are heaps of exciting activities you can add or change!

The South West camps are usually based at the Busselton Baptist Camping Centre located on the calm shores of Geographe Bay.

Day 1

Departing school at 8.30am, we travel down to the South West of Western Australia. We usually call into Australind for a comfort stop before heading for Busselton. We then head straight to camp to unpack, run through the rules / boundaries etc and familiarize everyone with the campsite. Time this afternoon to enjoy a beach walk or team building games before showers and dinner.

Day 2

Firstly we visit Yallingup Maze. We enjoy challenging the exciting timber maze, complete with towers & bridges. Students develop strategies and teamwork in negotiating the maze. To stimulate the mind, there are also puzzles & games to play in the café & gift shop area. Also, enjoy the large grassed areas for ball games and wander through the Nature Play area. Be aMAZEd! We have lunch in the grounds before heading to Ngilgi Cave at Yallingup – Enjoy a fully guided tour of the ancient showcave & its formations. Learn about the spirit of the cave and try singing in the huge ampitheatre. Experienced guides provide heaps of interesting and educational facts and info! Our last stop on the way home is a very popular place – the famous Simmo’s Ice Creamery where we enjoy one of the delicious flavours available.
Return to camp for showers and dinner.

Day 3

After breakfast this morning we travel down to Margaret River and visit Eagle’s Heritage – to see the birds of prey and a display of the ancient art of falconry. The lucky ones may get to wear a glove and have a bird of prey sit on their arm. We have lunch back at camp then we drive out to the end of Cape Naturaliste for a tour and climb to the top of Cape Naturaliste lighthouse. (We often spot whales during whale season!) Learn about the early lighthouse keepers and the perils they faced. (Usually with a ghost story or two!) Recently renovated, the Lighthouse precinct now boasts a new viewing deck, new shop and classroom for inclement weather.
Afterwards we head back to our campsite for showers & dinner!

Day 4

Clean, pack up and depart camp this morning around 9.00am. On our journey home, we call into the famous Busselton Jetty – almost 2km long. We take a walk along the jetty to see locals catching fish and crabs. There are many historical and informative plaques etc along the jetty detailing its colourful history. Then its lunch at Australind before heading back to school arriving approx. 2.30pm.
